About Bellydance for Healing
Bellydance for Healing is a bellydance class that naturally evolved from how Ronnie Ambar practiced bellydancing in her living room. It combines ancient bellydance movements with healing practices from around the world. Therapeutic exercises such as chi gong, yogic breathing and visualization are woven into the fabric of this unique class. The class is designed and paced to add to your energy, instead of expending it, as most dance and exercise classes do.
Bellydance for Healing is unhurried in its flow, affirming of all shapes and sizes, and safe and appropriate for all women. The classroom atmosphere is supportive, lighthearted and upbeat. Movement is presented as something to discover and enjoy. Each dancer will be given plenty of space to express the movements in her own unique way - and to discover her inherent grace.

“You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.”
